Good evening everybody,
in honor of my Australian colleagues, I write in English now. It’s my last week here in Perth – I will fly back to Sydney next Sunday and Ulla will arrive there next Tuesday – jipiii 😉
Two weeks ago, Ken and me where at a big dam in the Swan Valley – an area with many vineyards. It was nice to see something else than the hostel and the inner part of Perth. As I worked the most of the time, I had not the chance to see the complete west coast, so I am especially happy to see some import things around the capital of Western Australia.
Last weekend I drove round about 1500km around Perth. On Saturday, I made a trip to the Waverock – a big rock, which looks like a huge wave. I climbed around with some of my friends from my hostel. The Waverock is nice so see and we had luck – only sunshine and warm weather. It took about three hours to get to the rock, but that was only a short drive for the experience. Have a look at the pictures. My favorite is the surfing pose.
On Sunday we drove to the Pinnacles. That is a big sandy area with thousands of small stones, which look like Termite-constructions. We arrived there in the evening after another three hour drive. Because of the shadows, the atmosphere is best in the morning and in the evening. We saw also a beautiful sunset – like a big fireball sinking into the sea. We were lucky again with the weather – only a few clouds in the sky.
This is my last week at the Frontier Group. It is a bit sad to leave the company and the new friends. I learned so many new things and had a wonderful time with my colleagues here in Perth. I’ll hope, that I’ll meet some of them back in Germany (perhaps on the Oktober-Fest). We will see. We will have a big party tomorrow in the office – that will be a nice ending of my time here in Perth 😉
On Saturday I’ll watch the football game Germany against Argentina. That will be a great fight and I hope, that the Germans win. Public viewing isn’t big as in Germany, so most of the time we watch the games in living room of the One World Backpacker hostel. The game England against Germany was funny – half of the group was English, the other half German.
Looking forward to see Ulla and Birthe. We will rock Down Under 😉
Cheers,
Nils
