I left it with one crying and one smiling eye. On the one hand, I will miss all my new friends, which I met in Down Under and on the other hand, I am really happy to see my girlfriend, my good old friends and my family back in Nuremberg.

The last two days in Sydney were very nice – I met some of my mates (Gregor, Seth and Joel) from month ago. Was a nice evening. The flight to Singapore was relaxed. I saw the Great Sandy Desert in Australia the first time. That was amazing. I took some nice pictures. Next time in Down Under, I will definitely make a trip into the desert.

Singapore is nice. Here is so much to see. I walked all around the city on my first two days. But the weather is very exhausting – the temperature is about 30°C and the humidity 95%. You feel like you are under a shower all the time. And it rains several times a day – but thats all right, you are already wet from sweating…

I was in the India, the Arab and the Chinese quarter. They are beautiful. Everything is so colorful and it smells most of the times like good fresh food. I took also some pictures from the skyline – there are so many new constructions going on – it looks like the guys here build up a new city from scratch.

Yesterday I was on a Night-Safari, that means I visited a Zoo by night. That’s a cool idea, you see night-active animals in action. But sadly, most of the creatures have cages, which are much to less for them. That’s the point, why I also hate the mosts Zoos on the world.

Today I visited the Youth Olympic Games 2010 (I was lucky, they opened just one day before I was arriving) and saw some athletic sports, e.g. 100m qualification (men and the women). Was nice to see the little Olympic Games – I enjoyed it very much. After that I walked again a bit trough the city.

Now I am sitting in the hostel an write this report – when everything is online, I will take a last shower here in Singapore and make my way to the airport. I fly back to Germany at 23:20 o’clock (Singapore time).

So I hope to see you all soon, cheers

Nils

P.S.: The dorm I slept in had 28 beds 🙂 That was a record for me – but funnily enough, it was much quieter then in some other dorms back in Australia 😉

ngg_shortcode_0_placeholder

Hey everybody, I left Australia 🙁 three days ago.
